BUILDING A STRONG COMMUNITY
Recovery does not happen in isolation. It happens in relationship. We believe that a shared living model creates an environment where individuals are not just housed—but also supported, seen and held to a standard that makes lasting recovery possible. This is a carefully designed environment where recovery is reinforced through connection, accountability, and mutual support—one step at a time.
built-In Community
Living alongside others who are walking a similar path reduces isolation and restores a sense of belonging. Daily, ordinary interactions—shared meals, conversations, routines—become powerful stabilizing forces. Residents learn that they are not alone in their struggles or their growth. This sense of camaraderie builds trust, empathy, and mutual encouragement—elements that are essential for long-term healing.
Peer Support That’s Real
Shared living provides something no program or appointment can replicate: Peer accountability and understanding, 24/7. Residents support one another not as clinicians or authority figures, but as people who understand the realities of recovery because they are living it themselves.
When challenges arise, support is immediate. When progress is made, it is witnessed and reinforced by the community.
Structure Creates Stability
Accountability is not about punishment—it is about consistency and clarity.
A shared living environment establishes clear expectations around sobriety, responsibility, and participation in daily life. This structure helps residents rebuild habits that may have been lost during periods of instability, addiction, or incarceration.
Preparation for Independent Living
Shared living serves as a bridge, not a destination.
Residents practice healthy communication, conflict resolution, time management, and self-discipline in a supportive setting. These skills transfer directly into independent housing, employment, and community life.
By the time individuals move on, they are not just sober—they are prepared.
Our New Location

SAFETY AND STABILITY FIRST
To provide a safe and stable environment for our clients and staff, protocols and guardrails are established by our team to clearly define our expectations. Steppingstone exists in a small specialty section of the recovery process and an understanding of our strengths, and our limitations is critical to sustainability
The Intake Process
The intake process is critical for maintaining a safe and stable environment We employ a formal screening process for residents to reveal any serious medical and psychological conditions, sex offenses and propensities to violence immediately upon arrival.
